Mel Brooks'

Young Frankenstein

October 17,18, 19 at 7:30 PM

October 20 at 3:00 PM

The monster is back this October as the Willingham Theater presents Mel Brooks’ classic comedic tale of young Frederick Frankenstein. When Frederick is forced to leave his legitimate research in New York to settle the matter of his late father’s house in Transylvania Heights, he is dismayed to find Victor has left behind more than a tainted legacy and a jolly funeral. As he investigates his father’s home, he discovers Igor, his assistant, as well as his infamous laboratory filled with his research. Frederick seems doomed to repeat history, but can he succeed where his father failed? Come laugh out loud at this Jessie Grant production.

Elf Jr.

November 1 & 2 at 7:30 PM

Based on the hit movie of the same title, the musical tells the story of a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is given the name Buddy and raised by real elves. Buddy lives happily unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list, and his stepbrother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of the holidays. Brought to you by the Willingham Performing Arts Academy’s Jessie Grant, Charlie Kluttz, and Luke Miller.

Beautiful Star

December 13, 14, 20, 21 at 7:30 PM

December 15, 22 at 3:00 PM

Hailed as masterfully tender, Beautiful Star comes to the Willingham Stage this holiday season. Follow Reverend Ledbetter and the Open Heart Community Fellowship as they gather once again for their own telling of the Christmas story. Catchy Appalachian tunes and that peculiar mountain sense of humor make this a favorite of families everywhere. We are proud to bring you this holiday treat directed by Jessie Grant.

A Tuna Christmas

We’re bringing back dinner theatre for a holiday treat! It’s Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including hot competition in the annual lawn display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of “A Christmas Carol” is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. This special event will take place at WPAA across the street from the Cultural Arts Center.

Dinner is provided by The Center Bistro.
